2021 A co-wrote a couple pieces for Abolish APD that were published in Counterpunch (link here). Otherwise, 2021 was a wash for writing. 2020 A hardboiled flash piece about a bad cop called "More Stars Than You'd Think" was published in Mystery Tribune in late August Flash Fiction Offensive published a flash crime story called "Goddamned Fool." 2019 My book review of On the Beach by Nevil Shute was published by Mystery Tribuneonline. I have declared 2019 "Year of the Novel." I also did this in 2018, and it was helpful.
2015 Thuglit (RIP) published my crime fiction story, "West Mesa," in Issue Number 20. Sliver of Stone published my review of Jacob Appel's collection, Einstein's Beach House, in October 2015. Washington Square Review and Jacinda Townsend selected my story, "Fire Complex," as the winner of their 2015 Fiction Prize. It will be published in the Fall/Winter issue of Washington Square Review. You can read it online here. Blink Ink ("mixed bits of succinct fiction") published my 50-word microfiction piece, "Palomas," in issue no. 19.
